Hospital AR recovery
Some of the denials you wrote off still have a date on them.
We work your over-60-day denials before you write them off. You pay only on what we recover.
Hospital work queues sort by balance. A smaller denial can expire while a larger account stays at the top. The denial letter and the write-off report describe the same dollar in two different ways. One of them still has a filing date. The assessment reads 12 to 24 months of your 835 remittances, names every dollar still inside an appeal or reopening window, and builds a sealed packet from records that already existed at the time of care.

In 2025, the more than 2,300 hospitals in Kodiak Solutions' benchmarking data lost $48.4B in net revenue to final denials and bad debt. Source: Kodiak Solutions, March 31, 2026.
What this week already looks like
- The write-off report names the dollar and is silent on the appeal window.
- The queue is sorted by size, and a smaller account expires this month.
- The appeal packet is assembled from three systems on the afternoon the deadline turns up.
- The CFO asks what came back. The sheet cannot say which dollars the payer paid.
If these sound familiar, the assessment is built for your team.
CFO
You need the cash that can still be collected, stated as expected reimbursement, and a range taken from your own remittances. Lost accounts are named, so the chase stops there. The assessment is free. JIL charges a share of the dollars recovered, starting at 30%, paid only on recovery, on denials over 60 days, the ones headed for write-off. The payment lands in your account. Once you subscribe to Audit Ready (AREB), appeals of new denials are included at no additional charge. The subscription keeps fighting new denials as they arrive and checks each claim before it bills; it is priced per customer. We give you a recovery number only after we have read your file.
Revenue cycle director
You need one backlog with the days left on timely filing, appeal, and reopening. Accounts inside 30 days are worked first, whatever the dollar value. Coding errors are prepared as corrected claims. A coder on your team decides the code. JIL does not assign one. Documents that already exist are attached to the appeal your team releases. Your team keeps the payer relationship. The overflow arrives with the evidence already assembled.
Compliance
Every appeal is backed by a document that existed at the time of care, sealed so you can review the trail. A missing physician signature that Medicare will accept by a proper attestation is marked that way. A requirement that had to be met on the date of care, and was not, is marked lost. You own the results. The work sits under a BAA signed before any claim moves. A client record is not used to train a public model.
COO
One register. One owner on each account. The list is urgent, active, or expired, and the next action is the line under the account. Finance, the revenue cycle, and compliance read that same list. You can see which window closes first, across every payer still in the file.
CIO
The assessment reads an 835 and 837 batch: the extract your clearinghouse or business office already produces, or the same feed in the Snowflake account you run. It does not ask for a new screen inside the EHR. At a customer, the work is designed to run in that Snowflake account, so the historical batch is not the permanent path. Claims move only after the BAA.
Outcome in six weeks from receipt of your data extract
- A free AR Recovery Assessment: every denied claim scored curable, appealable, clinical, or lost.
- A deadline calendar, so a recoverable claim is queued before it expires.
- Corrected claims, reopenings, and appeals prepared from the contemporaneous record, and released when you say so.
- A prevention preview: which of these denials Audit Ready would have stopped before submission.
- The commercial model: the assessment is free.
From denial to payment
Fix it. Coding and clerical errors are prepared as a corrected claim inside the payer's window. A coder decides the code. JIL does not assign one. On traditional Medicare, a corrected claim is generally one year from the date of service, and a reopening is generally one year from the initial decision.
Prove it. A missing document that already exists in the record is sealed and attached to the appeal the hospital releases. On traditional Medicare, a redetermination is 120 days from the denial notice.
Escalate it. Medical necessity goes to a licensed clinician for appeal and peer-to-peer. The clinician and the record decide what can be said. A win is not promised.
Close it. An expired deadline, a timely-filing denial, or a step that had to happen at the time of care is marked lost and left off the work list.
Medicare Advantage and commercial windows sit in your contract, often 60 to 180 days. The assessment reads that contract. It does not borrow the Medicare clock.
What your team asks first
- We already have a denial vendor. The assessment reads the accounts that vendor marked lost. If nothing is still inside a window, you keep the report. The assessment has no invoice.
- Our team handles appeals. They keep the payer. They receive a ranked list with the evidence already assembled, including the overflow they do not have hours for this week.
- Those claims are written off. Some are gone. The register names them. The rest are still inside an appeal or reopening window.
- What does this cost? The assessment is free. JIL charges a share of the dollars recovered, starting at 30%, paid only on recovery, on denials over 60 days, the ones headed for write-off. The payment lands in your account. Once you subscribe to Audit Ready (AREB), appeals of new denials are included at no additional charge. The subscription keeps fighting new denials as they arrive and checks each claim before it bills; it is priced per customer.
- Is this compliant? A document goes out only when it existed at the time of care, under a BAA signed first, with a sealed trail compliance can review.
- We do not want to move our claims yet. The demonstration you can open today is a labeled synthetic file. Your claims move only after the BAA, and you own the results.
The assessment, before you commit
- Sign a BAA and a short assessment agreement before any claim moves. The assessment has no cost. You own the results. The six weeks start when we receive your data extract.
- The read is 12 to 24 months of denied and unpaid claims, plus older claims still in dispute: 835 remittances with CARC and RARC, the 837, the payer, the date of service, the billed amount, the denial date, and any appeal already filed. That can be the batch your office already produces. It does not require a new build inside the EHR.
- Each claim is sorted by the days left, then by why it failed, then by whether the record can still support it. Expected reimbursement is the dollar, not billed charges.
- You receive one report: dollars by bucket, the payers and the causes, a deadline calendar for urgent claims, a projected range, and which denials Audit Ready would have stopped.
Recovery first, then Audit Ready
The recovery register is the first product. It finds dollars already written off, or headed for write-off, that still have a date, and it prepares the correction or the appeal from the record you already have.
Audit Ready (AREB) is the second product, as an ongoing subscription. It puts the evidence bundle on the claim before that claim drops, so the next denial is a smaller set, and it keeps fighting new denials as they arrive, with appeals of new denials included at no additional charge. Missing-charge findings, services documented or ordered but never billed, are included at no additional charge. The subscription does not take a recovery share. The six-week report includes a prevention preview: which of these denials that check would have stopped. It does not assign a code. Your coder decides the code.
Once Audit Ready is on the claim
The same platform that builds the evidence bundle before submission builds the appeal package after a denial. Once you subscribe to Audit Ready (AREB), appeals of new denials are included at no additional charge. When a claim the platform cleared is later denied for an administrative reason, that appeal is included in the subscription. A claim is counted once, as prevention or as a recovery.
What you can hold us to
JIL Sovereign Technologies, Inc. operates this site. The payment is made to your account. The range in the report comes from your remittances. A payer decides each appeal. A clinical case depends on the clinician and the record. A document is submitted only when it existed at the time of care. Read trust and HIPAA. Phone +1 (855) 572-9636. Email contact@jilsovereign.com.
The hospital demonstration is a labeled synthetic file, so you can see the register before any of your claims move. A separate page walks a public Medicare cost report as an illustration. It is not a customer and it is not a result. Illustrative hospital example.
See what is still recoverable
We sign a BAA, review 12 to 24 months of your denials, and show the dollars by bucket before you commit to anything. You pay only on what we recover.
