CREB Tier Classification
Deterministic Tier A / B / C eligibility logic based on statute element mapping, scienter evidence, and damages strength.
Tier definitions
Tier A, B, and C definitions
The JIL Sovereign platform classifies every Court Ready Evidence Bundle (CREB) into one of three tiers based on the strength of the evidence. Tier A represents the strongest evidence, suitable for immediate filing. Tier B indicates evidence that requires further development before filing. Tier C signifies evidence that is currently insufficient for filing but may serve as an investigation lead.
Each tier is deterministically assigned based on the percentage of statute elements supported by findings, the strength of scienter evidence, and the calculated damages. This ensures that every CREB packet is pre-classified, allowing legal teams to quickly determine the appropriate action.
Statute element mapping engine
Statute element mapping engine
The statute element mapping engine is a critical component of the tier classification system. It maps individual findings to specific elements of relevant statutes. This mapping is used to determine the coverage strength of each statute element, which in turn influences the tier classification.
The engine ensures that every finding is accurately aligned with the required elements of the applicable statutes, providing a clear and auditable path from raw data to classified evidence.
Scienter evidence layer
Scienter evidence layer
The scienter evidence layer is a dedicated component that assembles evidence of intentional wrongdoing. This layer is crucial for determining the tier classification, as scienter is a key element in many fraud statutes.
By systematically collecting and evaluating scienter evidence, the platform ensures that the tier classification accurately reflects the strength of the evidence regarding intentional misconduct.
Damages methodology
Damages methodology
The damages calculation engine computes the potential financial impact of the alleged fraud. This calculation is based on statute-specific formulas and is a critical factor in the tier classification.
The methodology ensures that the tier classification not only reflects the strength of the evidence but also the potential damages, providing a comprehensive view of the case.
Routing per tier
Routing per tier
Once a CREB is classified into a tier, it is routed according to the customer's configuration. Tier A packets are typically routed for immediate filing, Tier B packets for further development, and Tier C packets for investigation.
This automated routing ensures that legal teams can focus on the most critical cases, streamlining the workflow and improving efficiency.
Re-classification protocol
Re-classification protocol
The re-classification protocol allows for the re-evaluation of a CREB's tier assignment if new evidence is discovered or if the case theory changes. This ensures that the tier classification remains accurate and up-to-date.
The protocol includes audit logs and CourtChain anchoring to maintain the integrity and auditability of the re-classification process.
