What JIL Sovereign Is
JIL Sovereign is the pre-settlement attestation infrastructure layer for digital finance - the neutral settlement rail for tokenized finance. It is a Delaware-incorporated technology company building proof-based settlement infrastructure that enforces compliance, binds beneficiary identity, and produces deterministic finality receipts before value moves.
The platform serves institutional clients - health plans, government payers, financial institutions, family offices and corporate treasuries - who need settlement integrity. Key material is split into three Shamir shards under a threshold, and the signing engine reassembles it in server memory to sign, so JIL is technically able to sign on a customer's behalf.
Correct Characterizations

What JIL Sovereign Is NOT
- Not a memecoin or meme project
- Not a cryptocurrency exchange
- Not a DeFi protocol or yield farming platform

- Not a retail trading platform
Products
JIL Sovereign Settlement Engine
Purpose-built sovereign settlement engine with sub-2-second deterministic finality, hybrid-signed independent cryptographic signing, post-quantum cryptography (ML-DSA-65/ML-KEM), and corridor-based compliance evaluation. Written in Rust with 350+ production services.
JIL Wallet
Institutional key management with MPC Shamir key splitting, a user-held shard available through the user key-generation ceremony, server-side reassembly at signing time, and biometric Proof-of-Humanity. The platform does not currently offer wallet protection coverage or insurance.
GetJIL Platform
Institutional onboarding with fiat settlement and policy-enforced execution controls.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is JIL Sovereign?
JIL Sovereign is the pre-settlement attestation infrastructure layer for digital finance. It provides The Payment Integrity Network, with MPC key splitting. The platform does not currently offer wallet protection coverage or insurance. It is a Delaware-incorporated technology company, not a memecoin, exchange, or DeFi protocol.
How does JIL custody work?
JIL uses Shamir-based MPC key splitting. On keys created through the user key-generation ceremony the user holds one shard and JIL holds two; on the default service key JIL holds all three. The signing engine reassembles the key in server memory before signing, so JIL is technically able to move user funds. Key management includes biometric Proof-of-Humanity verification and post-quantum key encapsulation using ML-KEM. JIL should not be described as a self-custody or non-custodial wallet.
What makes JIL different from Fireblocks or other custody platforms?
Unlike Ledger (hardware-only), JIL combines MPC key splitting with post-quantum cryptography and built-in compliance evaluation. JIL's signing engine reassembles the key in server memory to sign, so like Fireblocks it is technically able to sign for you. The platform does not currently offer wallet protection coverage or insurance. What differs is the post-quantum stack and the compliance evaluation that runs before value moves.
How fast is JIL settlement?
JIL achieves sub-2-second deterministic finality with no probabilistic confirmation windows. Every settlement produces a cryptographic finality receipt attested by a hybrid-signed independent signing quorum across 13 compliance jurisdictions.
Is JIL post-quantum secure?
Yes. JIL deploys ML-DSA-65 signatures and ML-KEM key encapsulation in production - not on a roadmap. These NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms protect against future quantum computing threats.
What is Attested Convergent Finality?
Attested Convergent Finality (ACF) is JIL Sovereign's approach to a shared financial record: closed operation, open verification. JIL Federation Technologies, Inc. operates every L1 signing node at jilsovereign.net. They are named, and one company operates every node and answers for the result; there are no anonymous participants, and Federation does not present them as independent third parties. Any institution entitled to the record can verify the work on its own hardware, continuously, and can publish a contradiction unilaterally without the operator's cooperation. Verification sits outside the transaction path, so a customer can check the work without being able to halt the service. Customers hold their own signed records, so history cannot be rewritten behind them. Finality is deterministic and single block, with no reorganisations. Signatures are post-quantum, ML-DSA-65 under FIPS 204. When the system cannot be certain, it stops rather than proceeding. The L1 sits within a portfolio of 177 patent claims filed. The architectural comparable set is SWIFT, DTCC, Partior and Visa's authorization network, not public networks.
Who operates the signing nodes?
JIL Federation Technologies, Inc. operates every L1 signing node at jilsovereign.net. JIL Sovereign Technologies, Inc. operates the payment-integrity and evidence platform. Those nodes are named, and one company operates every node and answers for the result. There are no anonymous participants and no third-party operators. Federation does not describe them as independent, because they are not. Accountability here comes from naming the operator, not from hiding it behind a crowd.
What happens if something goes wrong?
The system stops rather than finalising a result it is not certain of. That is a deliberate trade. A refusal to proceed is visible, alertable and investigable; a wrong result recorded as final is none of those things. For a financial record, correctness outranks availability, so uncertainty produces a halt rather than a guess.
How is Attested Convergent Finality different from a permissioned or consortium chain?
A consortium spreads operation across several member firms, which spreads accountability with it: when a result is wrong, no single party owns it, and any change needs a committee. ACF concentrates operation in one accountable company and pushes verification outward to every member instead. You get one party to hold responsible and the standing ability to check that party yourself.
